Initially lived in a home facing southwest, hated having the hot sun beaming in on me in the late afternoon. Now living in an apartment facing the due east and can't stand having the same thing but in the forenoon. S-facing seems to be the ideal choice because in the wintertime since the sun hangs lower and therefore keeps you warmer. As far as I can tell there'due south no benefit to facing north other than you lot don't have to deal with the sunday coming in at you equally you lot would with east or west. Additional considerations: We're on the eastward side of a downslope, so though we have big west-facing windows we don't have too much problem with the sun in the afternoons. If I were an artist, I would want north-facing considering that's said to be the almost 'realistic' low-cal. Landscaping tin be used, to some extent, to mitigate also-strong sunlight.

I am direct west facing with vaulted ceilings in my downtown condo and hold well-nigh the afternoon sun. Whether it'southward inexpensive construction of my condo or not, I have my air conditioner set at 72 (then it comes on at 74) and because the afternoon heat gets trapped inside my unit, my Ac comes on well into the evening--even when it has cooled off considerably at nighttime. I did not call back I would be using my Air conditioning equally much as I practice living a quarter mile from the bay.

I'g most interested in Treo and Smart Corner, although Treo is probably a more realistic selection for me.

Treo is a newer edifice and if the unit y'all are considering is not a loft (like mine)you might have different results. My 2 level house faces all four directions. Eastward facing is the kitchen and the living room on both levels, and two lower level bedrooms. I have to keep solar blinds in the living room may through Oct. The pool likewise faces east and then I swim in the morning when the sun is on information technology. I prefer front of the house to face up East. I similar calorie-free and bright house with a lot of natural sunday light. I tin always become nice blinds to shut out the light but I tin can't create natural sun light.
